Top Social Media Hits - October 2015
It's the beginning of a new month so, following the introduction of last month's new segment, here's another round up of what's been working for me on social media in October.
1. Festive Cards.
People keep complaining that Christmas is coming earlier and earlier every year but a little sneak peek of some christmas cards I worked on for a client was my best hitter this month so some folks (like me) must be getting into the festive spirit. These cards are actually a caricature of me and some of my friends that I quickly doodled during my time in university which have now been reworked to fit a brief.
2. Birthday Haul.
A lot of my flat lays to promote blog posts did really well this month, as flat lays always do, so that creates a nice way for me to promote them again with a link! My birthday haul which I wrote about 10 days ago is full of links and photos of the presents I had for my business for my birthday and people really digged this marble white notebook piece.
3. The Great British Bake Off (again).
Last month my Bake Off semi finals illustration got a huge reception and at the very beginning of the month, this illustration of crowned winner Nadiya was beaten by few. If you haven't seen my Bake Off illustrations find them all here!
Again, this month I intended to do my top five Instagram posts of the month but the next three posts all had the exact same number of likes and interactions-what can ya do.
4. Being 22.
A good old list is always a big winner on the blog and I found this promo to be no execption on my Insta grid. This post all about 22 things I learned when I was 22 got a lot of relatable love because 1. Girls in their twenties 2. Lists 3. Flashback childhood photos. Who doesn't love a #tbt. Find the original post here!
5. Punk Day.
In the run up to Halloween my slightly spooky illustrations got a good reception but it was this one for punk day (which I handily tied in to children's Halloween outfit inspiration) that got the most. People just love a cute seasonal doodle.
6. GIFs.
Finally, another link up; and my most popular blog post of the month, these GIFs for creative students. People went wild for this on all social media platforms and Instagram was no exception. Find the real deal right here!
In Twitter news, I sent out over 100 more tweets this month than I did in September, tweeting 268 times in the last 30 days. Funnily enough, this massively improved my stats for October and my impressions and interactions soared to 17.9K which was nice.
Again, my colour collective tweets were massive players and earned me the most engagements this month, more notably this one and this one.
Also, no biggie, but this video sent to me by O2 of my tweet projected onto the roof of the O2 in London was my top mention. No biggie. No biggie at all.
