5 Minutes With My Advertisers - June 2018.
Hello and welcome to my SIXTH set of advertisers of the year. We are half way through 2018 and half way through another year of advertising somehow and I have some returning and some new advertisers to show off this month.
I feel like, as with everything blogging, advertising is slowing up and people are getting savvy with their money and it's getting trickier and trickier to secure people to sit alongside those huns who have signed up month on month. That being said, it makes me even more grateful to these gals who DO return month on month or sign up for the first time because I know full well the blogging world is mad right now.
Love ya'll, let's get on with the show.
5.
Oh hello who's this familiar face? Hailey is back again and has snapped up the Gold advertising slot for the first time in a while. You can read about her previous advertising months in November and December 2016, January, February, March, September, November and December in 2017 and also this year in February and March, April and May.
4.
The joy about writing my meet my advertisers post is that it's at the start of a new month and it means Hailey has written her goodbye round up to the previous month. It not only feels like a natural end because she's also finished advertising with me but also they're my fav blog posts she writes so I am happy. Hailey had a busy old May with weddings and dog sitting and dress shopping and you can read all about it here.
3.
Pinterest is still one of my favourite social media accounts even though I don't spend as much time on it as I would like but Hailey's is jam packed with gorgeous content. From pastel coloured boards to quotes to Disney, Hailey has it all in handily labelled content and my fav deffo has to be 'art'. But is that really a surprise....?
2.
I love a blog that teaches me a new fact and this month that duty fell to Hailey who taught me that in May, Mickey Mouse turned 90 years old. NINETY. I literally couldn't believe it but none the less he is and Hailey wrote a happy birthday post to one of the most recognisable cartoon faces on this planet. She's shared some of her favourite Disney memories plus a pic or two of Mickey and it's just glorious nostalgia.
1.
I mentioned last month that Hailey did a poll to choose which travel snaps she should share next on Instagram and it was London that won (and also the one I voted for, go me). She's spent the whole month posting content from her trip to London a few years back and she recently mentioned she'll be moving on to something new soon so be sure to follow her and see what she'll be up to next!

This hun is back having advertised with me in November 2016, in April, May, June, July and August 2017 as Spare Oom and then she then as Brambling Blog in January, February, March , April and May of this year too.
4.
Like last month, Bethany is smashing out content left right and centre in May so I have plenty to choose from when it comes to promoting her posts. I really enjoy her Monday Medley's (not least because she has featured me a few times) but because she always chooses engaging and thought provoking content from all ranges of bloggers so I nearly always come away with someone new to follow. And if it's not someone new, it's a blogger or a post I already know which affirms we have v similar taste in what we're reading.
3.
If we're forgetting reviews and blog recommendations and focusing on think pieces then Bethany's post toward the end of the month on 'allowing myself to be happy' is deffo my favourite. I've said it before I'll say it again but if you've been reading Bethany's blog for a long time you can practically pinpoint the exact moment she turned a corner, found her confidence and became a happier sassier person and this post on allowing herself to appreciate that is a life lesson we could all take something from.
2.
If you've gone all this time and not been following this gal on Instagram then you my loves are missing out. If you love moody shots, lots on Manchester architecture and the odd cameo from her recent trip to Amsterdam then Bethany's Insta is the place for you to go. Also her hair, can we plzzzz talk about her hair.
1.
I can't quite believe we have come to this point but this is the last month (for now hopefully) Bethany is advertising with me. When she signed up with me for block after block in December or January it felt like an age away but alas, here we are. Make sure you're following her blog because she's genuinely one of my favourite bloggers ever and I'll be thrilled to have her back in the future.

Oh look who's back for another month in a row! It's only this little angel who is slowly moving up the ranks on my sidebar. Last month Megan from Reflections & Ramblings was in the Bronze slot position and now she has moved up one notch to Silver and if you flick to the bottom of this segment you might find some news about where she's going next..... Read what I wrote about Megan last month.
4.
Ok so no I have never worked in retail and no I don't think it's something I'll get into in the future but that didn't stop me from loling at Megan's recent share on '22 moments every retail worker knows all too well'. You know me, I love any blog post that is a.) A list and b.) involves GIFs so we should have all known I'd like this one. Deffo one to read if you have ever or currently work in the retail sector.
3.
If you know anything about me you'll know of my love for a 'one pot slow cooked' kinda recipe. I love the ease, I love how adaptable they are and I love that they can make massive portions and save you a couple of quid so when I came across Megan's one pot chicken enchilada recipe I was hooked. I have been scouring Pinterest for yummy things to have with rice that cater for my lack of creativity with food and also my allergies but turns out I should have just been on Megan's blog all along. Deffo one to bookmark for a mid week dinner.
2.
I wanted to end briefly on a slightly more hard hitting blog post to read and that is this one that Megan wrote a year on from the Manchester bombing at the Ariana Grande concert. It's ridiculous to think back and realise it's already been a year and it's devastating to think of the amount of people and families still grieving. Manchester rocked our society in a way I feel no other attack has affected us since 9/11 and Megan's post is an important reminder of why it's never to be forgotten.
1.
No content with staying at Silver, Megan has decided to taste all of the options available here on Twenty Something Meltdown and has only gone and booked in for the Gold package in July! So you'll be seeing a lot more of her yet and I am thrilled.

The only new advertiser of the month should probably not be an unfamiliar face to you if you follow me on social media. Tina is the face of Tea Is For Tina and you'll know her name or her twitter handle if you used to join in Late Night Bloggers chats as much as I tried to. Also she's Welsh so we talk frequently about our Welsh lives and travels.
4.
If you haven't been on Tina's blog before it's your ideal twenty/thirty something lifestyle blog which is full of engaging content with a big mix of topics. I love a blog that offers me politics one week and beauty the next and Tina nails that for me. My fav posts of hers tend to be things she's reacted to be that things in the news or on social media but her blog tabs include lifestyle (with about 10 sub categories!), beauty, fashion, food & drink and travel so there's something for everyone!
3.
Like I mentioned above, I love a reactive post and Tina shared this one on 'are we becoming too sensitive' back in May after seeing some stuff on social media about safe emotional spaces for students. She discusses whether or not the space is counter productive or whether we need something like that and whether or not you agree with her final opinion it's a great read and comes highly recommended.
2.
I always like to chuck in a social media link when it comes to advertising and surprise surprise I'm sharing Tina's Instagram account. Tina deserves wayyy more followers than she has so deffo go follow her if you aren't already. Tina's feed is v pastel, v white and bright and features loads of lifestyle content and loads of Leeds plus her ADORABLE cat who features heavily on her Insta stories if you're that way inclined.
1.
And if you love the look of blog advertising? Tina also offers blog advertising for a mere 4 quid for bloggers and for businesses so if you have a side hustle or an Etsy shop or something like that it might be something to look in to! You can have a nosey at what she offers and sign up over here!

It's been a long time since this little gem graced my blog with her logo! Jessica and I seem to have a tradition going of her nabbing the Gold advertising spot every Christmas but she's broken free and here we see her half way through the year as well and I for one am pleased about it! You can read about the previous times Jessica has advertised with me in December 2016 and December 2017.
4.
First and foremost I am of course a lover of Jess' bullet journal and bullet journal posts and I am sure you weren't expecting anything less from me. She's recently shared her June update where she shows us how she's going to be using her journal and oh my life I am OBSESSED with her lavender themed title page. Deffo one to bookmark and replicate later in the summer I think.
3.
I am a sucker for any kind of anniversary post whether that be relationships, milestones, work or blogging and Jess recently had her blogs 4th (yes 4th!!!) birthday. She celebrated with a little birthday blog post talking about why she originally set it up which is great if you've only recently discovered her and want to know a little more about her backstory. And I am certainly happy she didn't chuck in the towel! Read Jessica Louise Keen.com's birthday post here!
2.
If an advertiser is new or hasn't advertised with me for a while I like to dig back in their archives to find something you might like that you might not have read of theirs but this time I didn't have to dig far. Back in just April this year Jess shared this post on using stationery to be (semi) organised and with so many of my readers being bujo and stationery fans like myself I knew it'd be right up your alley. The post is sponsored by Old English Company and Jess shares some of her top tips and best ways to stay organised whether that be traditional pad and pen or even online.
1.
So let's get onto Jess' Instagram shall we? You knew I was heading there, I loooove to share an Instagram link so here, have hers. If you want to see snaps from Yorkshire, books, bullet journals and the odd cameo from the cutest doggo ever then Jess is deffo one to add to your following list. She's also pretty dang cute herself.

Deffo the most familiar face on my sidebar I am sure is that of Ellen from E L Feel Good's Vintage. She's advertised with me a million times in April, May, June, July, August. September, November in 2017 and this year in January , February, March, April and May too!
4.
You know when you feel like a blog post has been written for your personally or speaks through to your very soul? That's how I felt logging onto Ellen's site this morning to see she's literally just published a post on ways to lose weight for lazy people. That my friends is v much up my street. Full of tips from buying smaller plates to limit your food consumption to working out in ad breaks when you're watching TV, these little things combined add up to much bigger lifestyle changes in the end.
3.
Also in a very timely fashion is this Father's Day gift guide which I found super useful cos idk about you but I find Dad's SO difficult to buy for. Luckily my Dad will always ask for a particular CD or DVD he's been lusting after and that combined with a good old fashioned bar of chocolate is enough for him but I am also in charge of finding something for Jos' dad and that's a whole other ball game. And if you're all sorted for Father's Day? These pressies will be good for the next few birthdays and Christmas' to come.
2.
I like to go back and share Ellen's shop link every now and then to remind you all she has an online store you can support. There's prints, there's blog planners and schedules and there's jewellery so plenty to shop and plenty to treat yo self to! Shop here!
1.
Ellen is of course, as I am sure most of you are aware by now, advertising with me right through to December of this year giving her a full 2018 on my sidebar and will be a grand total of NINETEEN months advertising with me. Round of applause plz people.
