5 Minutes With My August Advertisers.
Bloody hell my advertisers have been actual angels this month. I decided very very late on that I was going to have a blog makeover so I had to email these 4 gals and check with them it was ok that I wouldn't have a sidebar for them to advertise on for a few days and they were sooooo fine with it.
Couple that with the fact I didn't do their promo tweets for the first week cos I was away and the fact this post is much later in the month than usual (it takes around 4/5 hours to write so I need lots of time) and the fact they all said lovely things about my new blog design - they've really earned their spots this month! Can't say enough good things.
5.
My Gold advertiser this month is Sophia from The Sophia Diaries (formally the Sofieyah Diaries). Sophia is the only advertiser - so far - to have sampled every blog package. She advertised with me in one of the Bronze slots in June and Silver way back in March and now here she is sitting pretty in the top slot!
4.
I mention this every time Sophia advertises with me but it's worth mentioning again, if anything more prevalent now she's in the Gold package. Sophia doesn't have Twitter so whilst the gold slot offers more tweeting I just won't be tagging her. Sophia will of course have her individual #FF twice a month and all the same exposure but it'll just be links to her content. You can find her on all other social media platforms though and YouTube!
3.
Since the last time she advertised with me, Sophia has had a rebrand! She changed her URL and her social media names and her blog is looking swisher than ever. From a fancy new design to new content layouts to her social media I feel like she's looking slicker and more professional than ever and it's been lovely to watch.
2.
I was going to chose a different blog post to share as my favourite most recent post of Sophia's but then today, when I wrote this Sophia just shared this one on how to have a healthy lifestyle and I knew I wanted to share it more. I am hideously in love with the promo photos Sophia shares, they're so slick and well made and really really engaging for her content. I love Sophia's tips especially keep track and be realistic - I love keeping a habit tracker and I am so unrealistic with my goals this is 100% something I need to keep in mind.
1.
I've been following Sophia on Instagram since she started advertising with me now, maybe since a little bit before and I feel like of late she's become massive insta goals. From outfit posts to the odd flatlay to lots of delicious looking food it's all a happy mixture thrown into a similar theme and editing style I'm just a bit in love with it all. Like I genuinely see it getting more and more editorial, it matches her blog SO well and she's a real one to watch - go follow!

Kelsey from Tickled Greene is back for another month! She signed up for a Bronze in June (which you can read about here) and now she's back and has upgraded to Silver. She also wrote a blog post about why she thinks blog advertising is a good thing (you can read that one here) which is always good feedback for advertising.
4.
Since last advertising with me, and actually round about the same time I had mine, Kelsey redesigned her blog too. It's SO cute, so fresh, so pretty and it's really easy to navigate and use. There's banana leaf print everywhere so it's all themed and omgah it's just everything. Definitely go and have a mooch around and also check out her portfolio page whilst you're at it.
3.
I think I was first drawn to Kelsey's blog because she writes such similar content to mine. I think that's always the way isn't it? If you write about things you'd like to read then you naturally gravitate to the blogs that write the same. So combine Kelsey's bullet journal with her lifestyle posts (and her blog design) and it's no wonder I love her! Whilst advertising with me in June Kelsey wrote a post inspired by my 'Things I'm Not Sorry For' which in turn was inspired by other people and it's a very good read.
2.
Seen as I already mentioned it, Kelsey writes blog posts about her bullet journal and she posted an update about her July set up (anyone else hoping for an August update cos I know I am). I mentioned last time she advertised with me that Kelsey's bullet journals are colour co ordinated, they're full of doodles and they're SO neat. This time she's gone for blue tones and her habit trackers for July are to die for.

If you're looking for calming new Instagram accounts to follow then look no further than @_kelseygreene. It's currently featuring a lot of photos of the sand and the waves and it's soooo idyllic. It's a totally stark change of late from the pastels and carefully constructed flatlays of late and I am v on board with it.

Oh the girl who needs no introductions. Bethany has now advertised with me for a grand total of six months (5 of those were back to back) so you can read every lovely thing I've said about her from November, April, May, June and July. This is actually the last month for now that Bethany is with me. My sidebar is going to look very very bleak without her but there's good news - she's only gone and signed up to be my first Gold advertiser of 2018!
4.
100% my favourite blog post Bethany has written of late is 'pet peeves on my commute' which I have commented on and shared because So. Me. It's basically a whole post on why people are just the worst and omg I laughed so hard. I have no doubts any commuter will resonate with this, it's a must read, preferably on your commute.
3.
One of the reasons I love advertising is because I get to share bloggers and blog posts from some of my favs and Bethany has made this a million times easier by sharing HER favourite blog posts of the week. She's currently (as I type) on Monday medley #3 and I've only gone and been shared twice haven't I? You can read what she said about me here and here.
2.
The absolute best thing to come out of having Bethany advertising with me this month is she's on it like a car bonnet. She's decided to take on a blogging challenge of a post for every day, it's called All In August and I am LIVING for the fact she's on my feed all the time. So far so good, she's blogged every day so far and it's soooo diverse. From brow products to cook books to a rant about commuting (see above) it's all solid gold.
1.
I've banged on and banged on about Bethany on Twitter but this month I think we have v much upped our game. From sending eachother A LOT of GIFS of seals to Bethany having a dream that she made me hand of the queen I feel like we're definitely on our best form. Follow Bethany on Twitter here!

If you read this post last month you might remember I explained that Ellen from runs all three of the blogs above and she's signed up to advertise all three of them for three months running so because a lot of what I say in my round ups is personal, about the people who run the blogs, I'm just doing one mahooosive round up of all of Ellen's blogs in one go.
9.
Ellen actually signed up initially to three months advertising with her Deals & Discounts blog and then moved onto the ones you see above. You can read what I wrote and check out the links I shared for those blogs in April, May and June.
8.
I always check in with my advertisers blogs on the day I write these posts, just as a last minute browse to see if there's anything new and I was thrilled to have done so with E L Feel Good Deals & Discounts because Ellen shared this post creating a better financial future - something I think we're all aiming for. They're all self explanatory tips that just make so much sense like setting up an emergency fund and money wastage but they're things I bet not a lot of us get round to actually implementing in our lives.
7.
If you're looking at monetising your blog any time soon you might be starting to think about sponsored content. Until I had been blogging a few months I had no idea what sponsored content was or what the regulations were and all the terms can get a littttle overwhelming. If you're interested in knowing a bit more about exactly what sponsored content is, or the basics then you can do no wrong by visiting Ellen's post on the topic.
6.
Admittedly my favourite tab on E L Feel Good Deals & Discounts is the make money one cos I mean really, who doesn't find that appealing? That being said I do also check in with the save money tab because if the side hustle ain't producing then we know we need to keep a few pennies back. This is where I found a really interesting (and useful) post on how to cut your food bill with v easy hints to implement into your supermarket routine like ditching pre packed or trying out an own brand item which is often cheaper and tastes exactly the same as it's branded counter part.
5.
I don't want to be that guy that starts talking about Autumn when it's still August but with the weather having been the way it's been lately I think you can forgive me right? We're all reaching for our boots and our knitted jumpers this week and I stumbled upon Ellen's tips on how to give your home an Autumnal update too. She writes a sentence that reads "I can’t really put my finger on it, but there are some small differences that can make your home take on a different feeling" and I can't tell you how much that is me in a sentence.
4.
I'm very much going through a Pinterest phase again at the moment - does anyone else go through periods of barely using it and then periods of thinking it's the best thing on earth again? If you're into cute dresses and floral cake stands then you need look no further than E L Feel Good Vintage because it has ALL the retro pins you could wish for.
3.
I enters my mind approx once a week how great me and my brother were as teenagers. How lucky my parents had it with us, how chill we were, how the stuff we did in comparison to friends meant parenting us was breeze cos we were not naughty or reckless and I pray I'd have a teenager like me when I'm all grown up. Handily, Ellen posted this blog on discipling your teen/tween - an idea that I'm sure fills parents were dread cos we all know, teenagers are dicks. I absolutely love the tip at the end and I won't spoil it for you, go read yourself but I think it's often something completely overlooked.
2.
The final blog post I wanted to share was on how to be a great parent to your teen. There are some brilliant points in there (particularly being a role model and picking your battles!) but my fav was checking in. My Mum is one of the most welcoming people I have ever known and all my friends loved her because she would open the house to anyone, she was always the taxi and she would go a million miles to help one of our friends the same way she would us. Some of our favourite memories as a group are sitting round the table in my Mum's house with a literal feast in front of us and I have always thought I'd want to be exactly the same with my kids.
1.
I said above that Ellen signed up for three months on the spin and yes, your Maths are correct - that means she'll be back with all three blogs in September! Check back in next month for more of the same!
