5 Minutes With My July Advertisers.
Oooft advertising slots are flying off the shelves lately aren't they?? I'm getting booked up quicker and quicker and people are very open to booking months in advance so before long we'll be looking at opening slots for 2018. What even?
This month is the first one in an unusual set of circumstances, I have on advertiser blocked in for 3 slots! The lovely (massively supportive of my advertising) Ellen has not one, not two but three blogs and lord knows how she has the time. In any case she's decided to advertise all three of them in all three Bronze slots which means my advertisers post is taking a bit of a turn for the next lil while. Whilst my Silver and Gold blocks are staying the same, it's hard to write something personal about the creator behind a blog when uhhh, the creator is the same person. So at the bottom you'll find a huge big block all about Ellen and her three blogs and now you know why.

Beth is back! It's been literally ages since Beth from Adventure and Anxiety last advertised with me - it was way back in December of last year would you believe it? If you missed Beth last time you can read what I wrote about her here.
4.
If you ever need Beth you may as well just tweet her because she's always there, she puts me to actual shame on Twitter she's so active and chatty and everything I want to be and don't have the time for. I tweeted once saying her and Rachel from No Space For Milk are always in my 'in case you missed this' box and it still rings true today. I don't think I've ever read a tweet of hers and not been like PREACH IT GIRL, she is me I am sure of it. Follow Beth on Twitter here.
3.
One of the things I love most about Beth's blog is the variety of content. I feel like every time I tune in for a new post it's something different so I wanted to share two very different posts as my recommendations for her content. Starting with beauty box reviews. I really don't read many of these, I don't reeeeeally like beauty content cos I'm just not that interested in beauty myself and I don't subscribe to the boxes. But; there are a handful I do still read (more on that to come) and Beth's is one I always check in on. I just love the way she writes, I'd literally read anything she did and her reviews are always honest. Also I am a fan of the stars system of rating, I am a simple gal. Read Beth's latest Glossybox review here.
2.
And on the complete other side of the spectrum Beth goes from lighthearted beauty box reviews to real serious frank mental health chats. Aside from an ongoing series on mental health and relationships Beth also shares a lot about her own life and her own mental health journey and it's very open and very frank and honest. My favourite current post strays a little away from mental health but more toward relationships and is an open letter to an old friend - here's hoping you reached out and it was successful gal.

I don't want to get too mushy but Beth is one of my absolute favourite people ever. We instantly clicked on some Twitter chat yonks ago and she's a proper gem. She's massively supportive, a proper laugh, a GIF queen and she always puts herself down but I'd love to meet her IRL and I am certain we'd be besties. All the love.

I don't know why I bother introducing Bethany any more she's been on my blog more than I have! Bethany's been with me previously and has now been advertising on the old sidebar for months on end; you can read what I wrote about her last month here, in May, in April and way back at the beginning in November. Because of all her lovely lovely advertising she got her freebie month andddd she's back with me again in August hooray!
4.
I've gone on and on about how much I love Bethany's Twitter and Instagram so this month I am switching it up and sharing more blog posts for ya'll. This is primarily because I'm sure you're sick of me being like SHE'S HILARIOUS ON TWITTER and also because she went blog crazy last month and bashed out 39284983758 blog posts. I'm starting with this one entitled 'Pissed Off' because I said I'd mention beauty boxes again and this was the post I had in mind. I love nothing more than a witty, rant fuelled honest review and this is is a goldie. This is the Cohorted June box and I'll leave it up to you to decide if you'd be happy with what she got.
3.
It's always a good day when someone sends you a tweet saying they've written a blog post inspired by you. It's a double good day when it's inspired by a post you bloody love and this month Bethany wrote this one inspired by my post of a similar title; things I text my Mum. It's basically a list of out of context things we've text our respective Mumma's recently and it makes for a bloody hilarious blog post. My personal fav of Bethany's was 'send spaghetti' but a close second was 'Are you and Nan in the shower? Did they found you?'
2.
And finally I want to share this one on escapism and the feeling like you need to run away because it spoke absolute volumes to me. I read it and immediately commented because it just resonated with me so bad, the overwhelming need to just get on a plane or a train and just go somewhere, anywhere just to escape. Definitely worth a read.
1.
Now I'm actually going to go all hell for leather and share ANOTHER blog post. I know I know I'm mad like that. But genuinely Bethany suddenly produced all the content and I feel like I didn't have enough time to share it all during her tweets in June so here we are. This is my last one, on giving up sugar which I love love loved. I am of late trying to cut down on caffeinated stuff and sugar in my tea and it's killing me so I was v interested to read this and see how Bethany got on, I won't give it away but have a nosey for sure.

This little peach is back! Although this is actually the last month she's signed up to and I don't want to admit that to myself but like, I have to mentally prepare ya'll. Megan advertised with me last month after a lil break and then previously in April, March and December. She's a firm favourite on the old sidebar.
4.
I have spoken about my love for Megan for a while now and how we write similar content and have similar interests and are basically twins in a former life but this month has been disgustingly cringy. From me sharing her as one of my Instagram loves to her sharing my bujo posts so like a million tweets and Insta story messages, we're gross but I love it.
3.
YAS FINALLY SHE HIT 1K! From the above paragraph (and if you've read anything I've written about Megan before) it'll come as no surprise I'm talking about my love for her Instagram again. I've said time and time again it's one of the most underrated accounts I follow but she's finally finally hit the elusive 1000 mark and is safely over a good margin so hopefully the algorithm won't hit back on her. Go give her a follow if you aren't already!
2.
If you're new to Megan's blog 1. Where have you been and 2. She's got you sorted on that front. I started following Megan around the time of #BloggerPitP because she was attending I think but I swiftly fell in love with her layout, her content and her bullet journal. If you haven't had the pleasure for following her for a year she has a handy 'Start Here' function which I need on my blog which introduces you to her, her site and her fav content.
1.
If you know me you know I like a good old flatlay so Megan's content is like my dream right now. And what do you do if you're a neat photographer? You share your tricks. My fav latest post on Lazy Thoughts and the one I have shared most is this one on how to tell if you're overexposing your images. We all love a stark white background but what brightness is too much? Megan also has a handy side by side image to show you just that.

Right so I already kinda introduced Ellen in the start of this blog post but yeah, this is the set up. Ellen has already been advertising with me for three months solid but just E L Feel Good Deals for those, now she's back with all three blogs! You can read what I wrote about Ellen in April, May and June here.
9.
I think I mentioned in every month she's advertised with me that I'm in awe of how much content Ellen gets out there both on her blog and on social media and that was before I knew she had 3 blogs! Literally running three Instagram accounts is enough work for me, I simply don't know how she has enough hours in the day to manage it all - and imagine scheduling tweets for all three Twitter accounts! I can't even.
8.
So I already explained Ellen has been advertising her blog E L Feel Good Deals for a few months now but if you missed it, it's basically allll dedicated to saving money and making extra money - something I am sure we can all get on board with. I shared some of her posts before on how to make a few pennies from surveys, something I swear by and there's some handy tabs on her header, one titled make money one titled save money to get you exactly where you want to be.
7.
If you needed a more catchy title to make you click you'd be hard pressed to find one more appealing than 'How To See The World On A Budget' cos if we twenty somethings need anything, we need cheap travels. They're all pretty self explanatory tips and tricks for travelling like working whilst your travel which whilst might not be your preferred thing to do on your vacay, certainly helps pay your way to the next destination.
6.
The second blog Ellen is featuring on my sidebar is E L Feel Good's Vintage which has a more lifestyle vibe than Feel Good Deals. There's categories for Beauty & Fashion, Food & Entertaining, Ideas & Inspiration and Making Money & Saving Tips. My fav tab is the Ideas & Inspiration in case you were wondering.
5.
I always like to go back in the archives a lil bit when I'm new to a blog so this post was shared at the beginning of June. It's garden party inspired; very Summer appropriate. Part of this post was a competition to win a vintage cake stand which was bloody gorgeous butttt sadly that's closed now so you'll just have to make do with the garden party inspiration (and maybe google vintage cake stands to buy like I did).
4.
If you know anything about me you'll know homewares and home decorating is one of my favourite past times to shop, google, pin and dream about. So reading this post on giving your bedroom a vintage upcycle was always going to be a hit with ya gal. There's definitely a fine line between creating a modern vintage look and making something look old fashioned and out of date in a bad way and Ellen's tips on where to find lighting and furniture is gold.
3.
Andddd finally we have Parenting Teens - Ellen is a Mum to a teenager and a tweenager (a formidable force I have no doubt) so this blog is more about parenting and tips for other Mums and Dads facing the wrath of the under 20s. There's tabs for Communication, Health & Relationships as well as School & Education.
2.
One of the more recent posts on Parenting Teens is this one on 5 Mental Health Apps for your teenager, a post I loved and think is very important. Being a teenager, being in school, growing up is a testing time for the best of us and I can't imagine the worry parents must have. Being able to talk honestly and openly to my parents about anything is something I've always vowed to instil into my future kids and mental health is a huge part of that. I hadn't heard of these apps and I think it's so good to know they're out there.
1.
Looking back in the archives I stumbled across a post titled '6 Secrets Every Parent Should Know About Teenagers' and whilst not a parent, I was intrigued. It wasn't all that long ago I was a teenager (it was nearly 7 years I am screaming inside) so I wanted to know if these really were secrets our parents should know. They were. So many of these made me laugh and I was nodding my head all the way through; particularly being night owls, struggling with mornings and not being fed enough! I've hosted parties at my house where my Mum made enough food to feed the whole village and we, twelve hungry 17 year olds demolished every last morsel.
