Words Of Wisdom - October 2016
These posts are supposed to be motivational and inspirational and give you a motto for the next month so every time I search something on Pinterest like 'summer quote', 'quote for October' etc etc so this time I googled 'Autumnal quotes' and this one came up first and I didn't even bother looking for anything else. I mean was there any need?
So it's not quite motivational but I just die because it sums up my love affair with the changing seasons and oh mumma I love October (did someone shout birthday month?)
"I am made for Autumn. Summer and I have a fickle relationship, but everything about Autumn is perfect to me. Wooly jumpers, scarves, thin first, then thick, socks. The low slanting light, the crisp mornings, the chill in my fingers, those last warm sunny days before the rain and the wind. The moody hues and subdued palette punctuated every now and again by a brilliant orange, scarlet or copper goodbye."
I just. I can't.
I think if you're feeling a bit sad about the start of Autumn and the changing of the seasons then this is the quote to print out and stick in your Bullet Journal.
Autumn signals darker days and nights and as much as I like Autumn getting up the dark is the worst part of the colder months, I find it really takes it's toll on my state of mind sometimes and the thought of it doesn't exactly fill me with joy.
Dark nights? All over that. The sunset at 4pm and driving home as it's getting navy outside just means changing into your pjs and getting the kettle on and snuggling up under a blanket to me.
If you're a bit fearful as to what the Autumn might mean for you you need this quote in your life because it symbolises everything that's fabulous about the seasons.
Ok so the summer might be over and the light might be gone and the hot weather might have left us but just think of the pluses.
This Autumn I'm looking forward to;
- Hygge.
- Extra blankets on the bed.
- Tartan scarves.
- My Birthday.
- Toad in the hole.
- Wooly hats.
- Halloween.
- Thigh high boots.
- Sugary tea.
- Fake Uggs being acceptable again.
- Berry coloured nail varnish.
- Fireworks night.
- Stew and dumplings.
- The Apprentice.
- Crisp mornings.
- Red and orange leaves.
- Fluffy leggings.
- Holding hands in gloves.
Take this quote, think of the joys of Autumn, try and remain positive if it's not your deal, make an Autumn bucket list, start planning for Christmas...whatever gives you all the feels for Autumn, get on it and make October the best one. I know I will be.
