Friday Favourites 3rd - 9th October 2015
Apologies for the lateness of this post, I normally write this segment on Thursday night scheduled to pop up handily on a Friday morning when I'm still in bed but alas, this week I failed. If you follow me on social media (if you don't you can do so herehere and here), you might have noticed I haven't been online half as much as normal and all my uploads have been scheduled boring promos so apologies, it's been a hideously busy week and I am having to type this super quick just to get it up today at all! Onto the best bits of this week...
1. Vale Cider Family.
I have mentioned Vale Cider before on my best bits of the week in passing but this is a bit more of an in depth update. Vale Cider is a family run business based in the Vale of Glamorgan who do every part of the cider process from their small holding, their pigs enjoy the leftovers and the family help with the picking and the selling. Check them out on Facebook here or find their website here and order some cider! It's had amazing reviews, sold out on their first show and are currently working on stock for Christmas!

2. Moving On!
If you've followed this blog from the beginning you will know that in June I moved from Wrexham back to South Wales to move in with my parents for the foreseeable future to set up a business (read about it here and here). But now, I am moving again! A lot sooner than I expected and not as far as last time (we're talking 3 miles down the road not 3 hours). I'll do a proper update when it's all finalised and done but I have been house shopping and have grand plans for a studio too....watch this space.
3. The Great British Bake Off.
On Wednesday, the final of The Great British Bake Off was aired on BBC One and (spoiler alert), Nadiya was crowned the winner. I have been illustrating the Bake Off each week this season and this week completed my set. I dedicated a post to it on Wednesday which you can see here and I am pretty sad it's all over! I don't know what series I'll illustrate next but I am definitely going to do something, apparently really topical stuff works. Who knew.
4. Autumnal Walks.
I wrote a little list back at the end of September about the things I love about autumn (find it here) and on Wednesday my autumnal pinterest worthy instagrammable walk of dreams took place. I took my 4 month old niece for a jolly in Bute Park in Cardiff on a crisp October afternoon and we had the cutest afternoon. She slept, I walked, we watched some squirrels, I took loads of photos, she refused to sit down to have a bottle (enter me trying to simultaneously give her a bottle and hold her standing up on my lap) and we had a nice cuppa (me) and a play with a leaflet (her). It was all kinds of adorable and I got some cute seasonal photos for my Insta grid.
5. Surprise Post.
A few weeks ago I surprised Stacey Ward and Tania Clarke with some post through their letterboxes (there's a little mention of it here) and this morning Stacey surprised me back with what I can only assume is a birthday card (I haven't opened it yet just in case). I love surprise post so that was neat-cheers Stace! -insert kissing face emoji here-
See ya next week (hopefully earlier in the day) for the next instalment of my Best Of The Week!
