I have also been feeling this year like home is more important to me too. The notion of home has always played a huge part in my life and that's been more to do with family than anything else. I have always felt like 'home' has meant different things to me, like I'd refer to my childhood house as 'home' when I was in university and my flat 4 hours away as 'home' when I was back with Mum and Dad. Both those places felt equally homely to me, both the house I had for a mere 2 years with a friend and the house my parents have been in since I was born.

The Dream Shopping List For Plant Lovers.

Oh hi just me creating a wish list for no other reason other than to find all the cacti themed things I didn't know I needed in my life.

If like me you are obsessed with all things botanical then this is the shopping list for you. I mean sure, maybe also like me your boyfriend will cry if you bring more plant items into your home but hey, what does he know huh?

So here's my top 35 picks from all range of budgets (yup, should have checked the price of that Urban Outfitters rug before I added it to the list) from the high street and online.

Autumnal Homeware I've Got My Eye On.

I've put myself on a cheeky little spending ban because 1. I'm skint from booking weekends away and 2. I need money for those weekends away next month. So apart from birthday (cos obvs) and necessary spending I'm not allowed to fritter my money away on all the mustard coloured home accessories - so instead I thought I'd make a wishlist of what I wish I was spending my money on.

Home Edit | New Kitchen.

I promised a lil while back that I'd talk about my kitchen refurb more in depth as it's where most of our time and money went when we were redesigning our house. We started the work for our kitchen just after Christmas and it was completely inhabitable for a few weeks until the work was complete.

The work we had done was pretty major, we had to knock down some internal walls to open the kitchen up and then have a new kitchen fitted, with appliances. We had new plasterboards and plaster on the ceiling, we had a window knocked through and fitted, we had units and appliances ripped out, we had new electrics....we really went to town on it and yet only did what was 100% necessary.

Tiny Home Improvements For Autumn.

A new season means a lot of new changes in my life; from my own development, my goals, my bullet journal, my work, my blog, my outfits and also....my home. I feel like the great spring clean as lovely as it is puts too much pressure on one season and I always try and do a bit of summin summin to my home before Winter rolls in.

Where I Got My Accessories & Decorations | Homeware Edit

Did I or did I not promise you homeware posts every week of September? This should have been scheduled for when I was away or like preferably last Thursday but hey, life doesn't turn out like that does it?

Instead I am typing this from the end of a very long table surrounded by other bloggers also typing away. More on that to come (or follow our hashtag #BloggersPitB) but for today, here's where I got the finer things in my home; the decorations, nick nacks and pretty bits.

Where I Got My Furniture | Home Edit

I haven't forgotten about my promise (and your interest) to do more homeware, home renovations and content on my house. I am crowning September 'home month' and there'll be a new post about home ownership, decorating and general moving every week so that's fun.

Today though I thought I'd share some info on where we got our furniture. I did a blog post back when we moved on things we'd genuinely bought which you can read about here but it was more a list of little bits we'd got our hands on (or an Ikea catalogue if you want to look at it that way).

I'm going to do a post on my kitchen on it's own because it's the biggest room and required the most amount of work but for today, here's where I got my furniture;

Things I Wish I Had The Money For Right About Now.

I haven't been on an intentional spending ban but since finishing my house I haven't been constantly searching for homeware as much as I used to and before I knew it, it'd been months since I scoured the internet for some pieces. The problem with this I soon realised was that every store I love has all new homeware ranges in that I hadn't seen and holy fuck why is it all so beautiful? Now I want to blow all my cash on homeware I don't need and I actually don't know how not to stop myself. Think I need to give my bank card to someone else (but there's always PayPal)....

I Hate To Ask You To Direct My Content But.....

I'm all about those filler pieces of blog content at the moment - you know the types, the ones that are short, written quickly, you don't have a lot to take away from it but it's not utter horse shit (I hope). I can only apologise, I've had a busy week which has meant I haven't had time to take photos for the actual decent posts I have scheduled and I've got a family wedding this weekend so am scheduling this on Friday night so I don't have to think about it when I'm far too bleary eyed on Sunday. But back to the matter in hand....
