Whether it’s a big day, a small day, an elopement or a really unconventional day - there’s no doubting that ALL weddings require some degree of planning. Ok maybe, maybe a drive thru ceremony conducted by Elvis on a drunken whim doesn’t have any planning involved but ya know, most others do.

We’re getting married in 7 months and by the time we viewed and booked our venue we had under a year to go so the planning has got real very quickly. We’re having a tiny wedding followed by a big party in February of next year and my spreadsheet has been a lifesaver when it comes to organising our weekend of festivities.

How to use your wedding spreadsheet:

I’ve split the spreadsheet into lots of tabs to make planning easy. From venues to contacts, from caterers to shopping lists….I have a section for it. And it’s colour coded.

Most of the tabs are self explanatory. Use the budgeting and expenditure tabs for keeping a track on your cash, mark all your RSVPs green when they come in and keep all your contacts in one place with space for email attachments, receipts and booking forms.

The beauty of the spreadsheet is it's completely customisable so you can edit, change and adapt to suit you and suit your day. Add more tabs, take away the ones that aren’t necessary to your planning process and above all else - keep calm and plan on!
